Unimpressed with the 'Buyer Requests' Section

As I understand it, the buyer request section is as the title suggests, where the buyer requests something. Why is it then that most days there are people spamming the section & using it as a way to promote their own gigs? Why are these people not kicked off the site? Rules are rules & this is blatant spamming on their part which needs to be addressed otherwise people won’t take this site seriously anymore. Once people start spamming, those that are genuine begin to lose interest as it becomes more difficult to find what you are looking for amongst all the junk.
