UX on completing a gig (as buyer) is poor

Recommended Posts

Having just completed a gig, I was happy with the end-result, but the UX is terrible.

I was expecting a nice clear “OK, you’re done”. But I got a big green “Tip” button, and below that another green call-to-action style button, which it turned out was part of an ad. So I wasn’t sure if I was finished or not. “Has the seller been paid yet?”, I was wondering, not wanting to walk off thinking I’d finished but then discover that he was left hanging.

I eventually spotted the small “order completed” text. Ah, so I am done.

It’s key in this kind of service to always know where you are in the lifecycle, and it failed for me at this crucial (for the seller) step.
