If your work doesn’t motivate you, what does?

I like to know where my writing goes. It motivated me to do my best with everything I write. It’s easy enough to get into the habit of working on stuff that you enjoy though (since I do think selling something you dislike isn’t exactly good practice so…)
Alternative answer: caffeine.

No I ain’t no writer person. I am a Mix Engineer & Composer, now in making music Videos too.

As Ms 7413 indicates above, if you are not engaged in/with what you do, chances are you are trying to do or sell the wrong thing. Selling anything is hard, if you are not passionate, it is even harder.
