I am in a situation where the buyer is not responding to what would happen if the customer support cancel’s the order.
Just cancel. CS is wrong about the late status. This doesn’t affect your metrics until after a late order is delivered and marked as complete. If you cancel this order now that won’t happen. However, you will likely take a hit in the form of a lower order completion rate.
As I think, It is better to cancel it.
