What if the buyer never "Marks Complete?"

Not too sure how this works and the payment screen is a bit confusing. However, do we still get paid even if the project is not marked complete? On one of them the buyer just told me I did a great job, but never marked my project complete or gave me a review… I need clarity, thank you.
