What to put in gallery?

I’m making a gig for pet portraits. I obviously haven’t had any orders yet, so what am I supposed to put in the gallery? Should I take a picture of my own pet and act as if it were an order?

Surely you did portraits of other pets before, right? (I hope you did and that’s why you are offering it as a service now)
Just take your drawings that you did before and upload them in the gallery so people could see your style. (People can’t guess if that’s a pencil drawing or digital it watercolours etc)
