When I request a cancellation from a buyer the entire record of the order disappears.
I then usually forget about it since I can’t see it anywhere and do not remember to follow up on it to see if the buyer actually accepted the cancellation.
It is very important to have that order on the sales page with the rest of the orders.
This way I can remove the cancellation request if I need to instead of forgetting about it
and having it automatically cancel if the buyer does not respond. I can send the buyer another message since I can see the order and see the request has not been responded to by the buyer.
