Why give the option to promote on facebook and twitter, then pull a gig?

Every gig I have started has been declined for the image quality. I have been very careful to deliver the exact size photo requested. It seems like this is done every time ‘just because.’ If I promote my gig on facebook and twitter, I should not have my gig immediately pulled after the promo step. Is it not possible to show a blank image if there is a problem with the photo? Can you only give the option to promote on twitter and facebook after the gig is approved?
