Why is Fiverr sending me txt messages verification code

For some reason I started getting txt messages from Fiverr today. They are sending me verification codes. Why is this happening. I’m on Fiverr every day most of the day and I haven’t seen anything that looks like a flag or something.

The message reads "Your Fiverr verification code is 1234"

Obviously that’s not the actual number, but I have no clue what this is about. So equally as obvious I’m not going to do anything about it such as act on it in any way.

Can anyone tell me what this might be?

Both buyers and sellers have to verify their accounts by having codes sent to their phones.

Make sure you have verified your account with a phone number and contact customer support first, don’t take actions by yourself, unless told otherwise
